Orthodox Cross: Also known as Byzantine, crosses are worn by Eastern Orthodox Christians, both Greek and Russian. In addition to the slanted footrest, they feature the "IC" and "XC", ehich are shorthand in Greek for "Jesus Christ". The "IC" is the first and last letter of ISOUS; the squiggly line indicating that this is an abbreviation. The "XC" is the first and last letter os CHRISTOS. St Andrew Cross (Top Bar Cross) : Named after the Apostle Andrew, patron saint of Russia, Scotland and patron of the Patriarch of Constantinople. The top bar symbolizes the placard on which was written the charge against Jesus "Jesus of Nazareth, King of the Jews." The middle bar is where the hands were nailed. There are several explanations for the distinctive lower bar. Some say that it calls to mind the "X" shaped cross that Andrew was crucified upon. Others say that the saint preached with a three bar cross, using the lower bar to illustrate that "those on the right side of Christ will go up to heaven, those on His left will descend into hell." Still others say that the slanted bar represents what was originally a support device on crosses of crucifixion, put there to increase the discomfort of the victim. The slant developed to suggest an isometric view of it, and was eventually lowered to suggest a footrest.  Engraving on Crosses
Many ask about engraving on crosses. This particular cross is XR102 from this page, and is a flat cross. Most gold crosses are not flat across the back, and are therefore not suitable for engraving on the back. Additionally, the manufacturer will often put a makers mark on the back side of the cross. Hollow crosses are solid gold but hollow in the middle and therefore not suitable for engraving. Very detailed crosses and crucifixes will most likely have detailed backs as well.
